The liver becomes sluggish and therefore less able to produce the bile to break down fats properly, to metabolise cholesterol and remove hormones and waste products from the blood. Blood pressure naturally increases. Getting old or older doesn't mean we should give up though. It just means we need to work harder to stay healthy!
